About this place
Tucked along Yasukuni-dori in a tranquil pocket a short stroll from Kudanshita and Ichigaya stations, Orologio offers an inviting space to unwind. Opening the menu reveals a thoughtful Italian lineup that encourages settling in, spanning classic appetizers and stone-baked pizzas to varied pasta selections, meat, and seafood.
A perennial table favorite is the half-and-half pizza pairing margherita with gorgonzola on a single crust. Alternating bites between bright tomato sauce, mozzarella, and basil alongside the rich funk of melted gorgonzola pairs wonderfully with a glass of wine. For more distinct combinations, the kitchen also turns out pizzas like the Pistacchio—topped with pistachio cream, Sicilian lemon, and bottarga—or an arrangement layered with smoked scamorza, mortadella, and a soft-cooked egg.
The pasta selection is just as varied, featuring spaghetti with pistachio, bottarga, and Sicilian lemon, tagliatelle or spaghetti in a porcini and mushroom cream sauce, and a slowly simmered Bolognese ragù. Pairing these with seafood offerings like fresh carpaccio, herb-roasted catches of the day, or acquapazza allows diners to build their own multicourse meal à la carte.
Italian wines handpicked by the chef can be enjoyed by the bottle, glass, or carafe, complemented by digestifs and house-made citrus cellos flavored with yuzu, lemon, or blood orange. Because the small room is run with careful attention to every plate, it serves as a comfortable backdrop for quiet conversations over dinner with friends or loved ones.
